An Introduction to Solar Energy

Solar energy occurs in such forms as televisions and radio waves, microwaves, x-rays, ultraviolet light, infrared light and visible light. It is also known a radiant energy that is from the sun. Sunlight is a solar energy which composed of mainly visible lights along with some infrared and ultraviolet light. With the sunlight, we can generate heat and light and electric energy for use in watches, calculators, and even space stations.

Solar Energy has the advantage of being unlimited in supply. Its major environmental feedback is that traces of poisonous compounds use in producing solar cells find its way in toxic dump sites. The amount of solar energy that we receive depends on the presence of clouds and occurrence of typhoons. Sometimes, solar energy has its own disadvantage. The sun can cause skin cancer which may affect an individual’s lifestyle and individuals view or perspective about the world.

It also important and vital for us to have knowledge on how to stay protected under the sun such as not staying too long under the sun or avoiding direct contact from the sunlight.  You may even use sun glasses or shades for us to protect our eyes from the heat of the sun. This simple yet effective preventive measure can help to avoid such disease.

Solar energy has always been a great help to any forms of life since the beginning. Without the sun, we would not be able to reach this generation to experience what the sun is. Being a creation is already a chance and great opportunity for all of us to help our own planet. We are called to be the Stewards of God’s creation so we should act like one because we are not the only ones who experience and savior the convenience and joy out of the benefits that it offers, not  just  the  animals  or  even  the  plants  but  also to the new generation who will stay in our planet.
